“You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus,”

How many of us, when desperate, lost or making a life decision, knew that Mammy would have the right words. We knew she would pray for us and tell us if we were wrong (much to our dismay). How I long for the conversations we used to have.

I’m so thankful she passed this down to her daughters with their own children and grandchildren- they know they can go to their own “Mammy” for support and advice, even if they don’t take it.

Mom and Mammy just seem to know.

I love you my sweet Mammy.

“I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day, greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy, when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.”
‭‭II Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What a beautifully fitting verse for your family of generational believers. All the way to your girl. 💜 Mammy left a legacy of following the footsteps of Jesus and her girls are right behind her to carry it on. I love you, sister 🫶🏻

She was all of this and more! As her daughter I can only hope to pass down as much positive influence. ❤️
