Brush your Mama’s hair

I remember taking these pictures, thinking that one day my Mammy won’t be here for us to brush her hair.

One day, Mammy asked if I had time to use the wave-iron on her hair, and I was too “busy” running errands for everyone around me. I never got to curl her hair again.

Don’t waste the moments. Walgreens and Safeway will always have what you need, but we will not always have the moments we truly live for.   

Enjoy each moment.

    oh Sheree, that is so precious what you wrote. And you are so right. We don’t realize that life is so short. I’m so sorry you never got to curl her hair again, but she knows you loved her. I wanna say happy Mother’s Day to my wonderful mom and my beautiful sisters in laws and otherwise. love Cindy.

    Sheree, this is so beautiful. Thank you for capturing those moments of me and my beautiful mama. I also regret the times when I thought I was too busy to help her with things. I cherish the moments that I did brush her hair. The hurt is still as strong and I miss her just as much as I did the day she died. Sometimes I think if I just wish it into existence she will be back here and I can brush her hair one last time 😥🩷🩷
